ICHS members consist of organizations
across the entire spectrum of human service provision, dealing
with issues concerning children, the aging, poor relief,
health care, housing, those with disabilities, social and
economic justice, child and sexual abuse, and civil rights.
Unfortunately, these generally disadvantaged populations
are too often not adequately represented in state government
and therefore are less able to voice their needs loudly
enough to our elected officials to effect substantial positive
change.
That’s
where the Indiana Coalition for Human Services comes in!
We have a proven legacy, through over 20 years of
advocacy, of speaking out with one voice on behalf of vulnerable
and underserved populations in Indiana. We advocate
for quality, accessible, and comprehensive services for
Hoosiers in need through lobbying & public policy, grassroots
organizing, and outreach education. Our vision for
the future is that every Indiana citizen will have their
basic needs met in order to live a productive life within
each person’s capacity.
