Tuesday Luncheons,
which occur weekly when the Indiana General Assembly is
in session, provide a critical and regular opportunity to
network with other ICHS members, share and gather information,
discuss the implications and movement of various pieces
of legislation that affects human services – and strategies
that could be employed in supporting or opposing it, and
problem solve with many social service advocates and organizations.
Only “Full Members” may attend these meetings; “Associate
Members” may not.
Members
Only section of the web site includes
meeting minutes, committee reports, bill lists tracked by
ICHS members, and the Coalition’s bylaws.
Advocacy
and Educational Events, such as legislator lunches,
regional fall forums, and interim educational series.
Organization
Profile: Organizations that are “Full” or “Associate”
members are listed on our web site, providing widespread
exposure for visitors to learn about who you are and what
you do. Moreover, each month, a new member organization
will be “featured” on the web site, which includes a detailed
description of the services you provide and programs you
create and/or administer.
Lowered
Fees for our conferences, programs, and events
are a benefit for “Full” and "Organizational Associate"
members.
ICHS
Newsletters and E-mail Action Alerts will keep
you and your organization’s members “in the know” on pressing
state legislation that affects the quality or availability
of necessary human services.
Voting
Privileges and Board Representation are only conferred
upon “Full” members of the Coalition.
Committee
Participation is required of “Full” members and
strongly encouraged of all others. The sharing of
expertise across the spectrum of human services is one of
the key strengths of the Coalition. Members help decide
how best to define our public policy goals from year-to-year
and influence key decision makers. Your participation
really can make a difference!
